What is a mult box, and do we need one?
A mult box takes the podium audio and splits it into clean feeds, one per broadcast crew. Without it, six stations tape six microphones to your lectern and each gets whatever their own mic picks up. With it, every outlet takes the same clean audio and the podium stays on camera looking like a podium.
Where do the cameras go?
On a riser at the back, squared to the podium, at a distance that gives every crew the same clean shot. It is set before anyone arrives, along with a marked position for the audio feed. Tell us how many outlets you expect and the platform and feed count are sized to that.
Will our spokesperson look right on camera?
That is a lighting question more than a camera one. Even, front-biased light on the speaker with the backdrop lit separately avoids the shadowed eyes that overhead venue lighting produces, and keeps skin tones consistent between stations. It is set and checked on camera before the room opens.
Can outlets who cannot attend take a feed?
A stream to the channel of your choice, plus an isolated audio and video feed remote outlets can take. Give us the destinations before the day so keys, bitrates and any embargo timing are set up and tested, rather than sorted out while reporters are already seated.
How quickly are you out of the room afterwards?
Strike starts the moment the last crew has what it needs. A standard podium build comes down fast; an LED wall or a camera platform takes longer. The strike window is agreed with the venue at booking, so your access time never turns into somebody else’s problem.
